National Mustard Day is celebrated annually at the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum on the first Saturday
The French's Mustard Stage was hopping with the jumpin' rhythm & blues brass band Red Hot Horn Dogs and rock band Clear Blue Betty. Meanwhile on the Grey Poupon Stage the Curator introduced the new game show sensation: MUSTARD OR NO MUSTARD. Festival goers were invited to compete and win prizes. Also on stage was the interactive Rock-n-Roll kids show "Kids are People Too!" An entertainment bonus. Aspiring vocalists competed in Oscar Mayer's Sing the Jingle, Be A Star competition. Other events included the annual appearance of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile and 3000 hot dogs on the grill, free to any festival goer who uses mustard on their dog. Games for the kiddies abounded, with proceeds going to fund the development of Mt. Horeb's Troll Skate Park. Mingling throughout the crowd was the Balloonatic, Madison's mad balloon twister, juggler Andy Martello, and local magician Mr. Hocus. Culver's Frozen Custard was on hand with another batch of Mustard Custard for your taste delight. And the long wait was over for the announcement of the winner of the 2007 "Seeds of Passion" writing contest.
